“This was truely an amazing but confronting experience. The whole day was very long and tiring. Auschwitz was brilliant but by the time we got to Birkenau, we were feeling a bit tired from the walking and standing. That doesn’t mean that Birkenau was not interesting because it was. Our guide, Barbara, was well informed and spoke with emotion that impacted our feelings. The only negative was waiting for 3 hours for our train back to Warsaw. If there was an earlier train, we would have preferred that option.”
